The company PVT from Navarra (Pavimentos de Tudela) has introduced ecoGranic, a real solution to make cities safer and cleaner thanks to the elimination of atmospheric contaminants.
Pavimentos de Tudela, a prominent maker of nonslip outdoor floor tiles with more than 20 years experience in the sector, has always relied on innovation, specialization and development, moving away from standard materials.
After several years of research, and given the company’s commitment to collaborate with sustainable development and environmental protection, ecoGranic was born: a new generation ecological floor tile, protected by patent.
EcoGranic is made from recycled, residual materials from the construction and industrial sectors. This means that manufacturing the product requires fewer natural resources and releases less greenhouse gases. It’s an efficient and real solution to meaningfully help cities and their surroundings be cleaner and safer, given that in addition to being practical and pleasing to the eye, it also repels dirt and reduces the emission of harmful gases in the daily life of urban centers.
EcoGranic has decontaminating properties, thanks to the fact that its surface has a powerful catalyst that is activated both by natural and artificial light, which transforms contaminant gases into substances that are harmless for human health and the environment. In addition this floor tile has an unlimited lifespan given that it does not lose its properties with the passage of time, and has a decontaminating efficiency of up to 56%. According to the company, covering an area the size of a football pitch with ecoGranic would eliminate the contaminants released by 4,000 cars during one year.
