Hired by Airbus for the development of its latest model A350, the Andalusian firm TEAMS conducts extreme testing on latest generation materials used by large aeronautics companies.

TEAMS, (Testing and Engineering of Aeronautical Materials and Structures, S.L.) is a Seville-based company focused on providing technical support to the aeronautics industry, in the materials field. It employs mechanical, physical-chemical and structural testing, as well as offering the verification and calibration of industrial instrumentation.

As a spin-off from the University of Seville, where it began as part of the Elasticity and Strength of Materials Group (GERM) within the Industrial Engineering College of Seville, TEAMS has provided services to the aeronautics industry based on its long history. Since its establishment, the Group has set up an R&D relationship with firms from the sector that faced problems related to the company’s testing expertise.

At its facilities TEAMS carries out testing of all types, in order to gage the fatigue of panels and other structures through tensile testing, compression and short beam shear, as well as performing vibration and shock tests. The company subjects new materials to extreme temperatures, humidity and pressure.

Among its major clients are such significant companies as Airbus, EADS, Gamesa, Cener and Aernnova, among others. TEAMS is a certified supplier to both Airbus and EADS, and has participated in the development of the latest model Airbus A350, as well as testing new materials for the earlier models A320 and A380.
