The Spanish technology firm has been accredited by both the United Nations and the European Union as a provider for election processes and to support observation missions.

Many citizens around the world use a Spanish ballot box when they vote. And in the future their number will only grow. The Spanish company Indra is already a leader in electoral processes, having participated in more than 350 and gaining recognition as a pioneer in the use of new technologies.

Now the company has also received two significant accreditations. The United Nations has certified the Spanish company as a trusted international source for electoral materials. In addition, the European Union has given its accreditation for providing support services during election observation missions. Indra is the only company in the world with both of these accreditations.

The approval by the UN also entails the Spanish company entering into a long term agreement to supply the international organization with materials (ballot boxes, voting booths, electoral kits and indelible ink) as well as arranging logistics for their delivery. Some of its solutions are pioneering, such as services for voter participation and electronic voting.

Indra has participated in electoral processes in the United Kingdom, Norway, France, Slovenia, Portugal, Italy, the United States, Argentina and El Salvador. One of its most recent contracts is to supply electoral materials that will be needed in Iraq’s 2014 legislative elections.
