One of every three automobile overheads (ceilings) in the US includes components manufactured by Grupo Antolin. This market, where the company recently inaugurated its tenth production facility in Kansas City, Missouri, now represents one third of the Group’s sales.

Grupo Antolin has now opened its tenth plant in the United States, thus further expanding its presence in this key market for the company. The new facility will manufacture headliners for Ford and, perhaps in the future, for General Motors as well. Production will reach about 4,000 units per day and the plant will take advantage of cutting edge technology.

Missouri is a strategic area for the automobile industry in the US and, by 2016, all the vehicles produced in the region will include headliners made in this Spanish plant.

The inauguration of this new plant is especially important given that this year represents the 20th anniversary of Grupo Antolin’s arrival in the US, where it now has ten production facilities managed out of its local headquarters in Detroit and employs 2,600 people. During this time, the US market has grown to represent nearly 30% of Antolin’s total revenues.

Grupo Antolin is a leading automobile component supplier specializing in auto interiors. The company’s four lines of business are doors, overheads, seating and lighting. In 2013 the firm employed over 13,700 people at more than 120 production facilities in 25 countries.
