IAT, the Andalusian Institute of Technology, is the majority shareholder in Torrot Electric Europe. The Institute is now proving its commitment to sustainable urban mobility with a new electric bicycle called the City Surfer. This folding bike is easy to carry and has a 250W electric motor which allows a rider to effortlessly move at 25 kilometers per hour for 50 kilometers. It has an aluminum frame, seven speeds, a rear disk brake and an extractable lithium battery that can be recharged in five hours.
Together these characteristics provide users with sufficient autonomy for their daily transportation needs, and favor quick movement on the bike lanes available in cities.
The bike can be purchased at a special offer price of €799, which is very affordable considering its high performance. City Surfer is a user-friendly and sustainable product which will be joined by Torrot Electric’s other offerings such as an off-road electric motorbike for kids and the MUVI electric scooter, to be launched in 2015.
