Etisalat and Telefónica will build a state-of-the-art Security Operations Center (SOC) in the United Arab Emirates to offer advanced cyber security services for companies.

Etisalat EAU and Telefónica, two leaders in the telecommunications sector, have broadened an existing information security agreement in order to jointly build a cutting edge Security Operations Center in the United Arab Emirates. This center will provide a wide range of cyber security services to all types of organizations. It falls within Etisalat’s SMART strategy to protect the nation’s public and private information technology infrastructure.

As part of this agreement, Etisalat will expand its offering of managed services by using some of the world’s most advanced technological platforms provided by Telefónica.

These services—including cyber threat detection and intelligence, vulnerability management, industrial security and antifraud measures—will help the UAE confront the constantly changing landscape for cyber threats, as well as close the knowledge gap that currently exists in the country within the security space.

The alliance with Telefónica will enable offering smarter managed security services and cutting edge solutions. In addition, it highlights the key role that telecommunications firms play when it comes to comprehensively managing the security and integrity of customer data and operations.
