The Spanish company Cysnergy has developed the world’s first microsensor that can measure electricity usage for any device or in any area of a factory or home in real time, helping to improve energy efficiency and provide energy savings of up to 40%.

The Spanish company Cysnergy, founded in 2003 and located in the Parque Científico de la Universitat de València research park, is dedicated to the ideals put forth in the international standard ISO50001 which seeks to measure electricity consumption more broadly and precisely. The firm has now developed a sensor to this end that it recently patented in the United States. This new tool lets businesses and other users save up to 40% on their electricity bills, and at the same time also drastically reduce CO2 emissions.

This new technology provides the international electricity sector with a powerful platform to promote energy efficiency. The company’s system gives users detailed information and the ability to directly manage their largest areas of consumption in order to cut energy costs per unit of production. This can be accomplished during every phase of production, whether for manufacturing or service industries.

This micro-meter for energy management improves electricity usage, applying sub-metering at very low cost but with great effect, through a platform for energy management.

Cysnergy designs and installs smart systems for electricity management.

This new technology will help contribute to achieving one of the European Union’s key objectives, to cut energy spending by 20% by the year 2020. This goal is part of the Horizon 2020 Program, a research funding plan for European high technology companies.
