It lasts longer, has better color rendering and uses up to 50% less electricity. The Spanish company TEHSA (Hotel Management Energy Technology and Systems for Saving) has developed a new fluorescent lighting technology that will serve as an alternative to LED. It’s called TEHAsave T-THIN and it combines all of the qualities found in triphosphor fluorescence. That is to say, it lasts longer, has better color rendering and offers superior energy savings.

The useful life of this technology is more than 55,000 hours, with an average life of 80,000 hours. Energy savings of 50% can be achieved compared to traditional lighting.

Further, this lighting system eliminates the problems of flickering and ultraviolet radiation found in traditional fluorescence, and has minimal mercury content (only half of a traditional T 5).

With respect to LED systems, TEHAsave lighting offers a reduced light loss factor that occurs considerably later in the life of the device, with great color temperature stability, high definition rendering and a light angle of 220 degrees. Another advantage this technology offers is that T-THIN tubes are up to 50% cheaper than LED systems.

The bulbs using this technology also offer energy savings of 30% compared to compact fluorescent bulbs.
