AEQ was the company selected by the “16th Asian Games” organizing committee to provide all the audio equipment for the commentator positions in the multiple stadiums.
It is not the first time that AEQ takes part in major worldwide sporting events. The 16th Asian Games were held in late November 2010 in the Chinese city of Guangzhou, the venue for 9,704 athletes from 45 participating nations.
AEQ provided a system for managing all the commentary audio on its platform DCS-10 (285 units), used at practically all large sporting events for the last 15 years, and deploying the E1 Audio multiplexer model AEQ RANGER (64 units) to interconnect all the venues to the International Broadcasting Center, where all the signals are centralized before being sent to their final destinations of the various countries involved.
In those venues where the system DCS-10 and associated RANGER were too large for events of minor interest, AEQ included in its catalog the portable stand-alone audio codecs TLE-02D (88 units). To provide service to this number of devices, AEQ supplied more than 700 head-sets.
