The Spanish information technology company Eptisa Ti has invented a program that will improve road safety.
The system will allow governments to manage and operate road networks in order to achieve better roadway safety. Highlighted among the application’s functions is an inventory of roads and their signposts. With this system, management will be improved for: information about maintenance operations and their description; scheduled and unscheduled incidents that take place on the network; and traffic accidents that may occur along the route. The final goal is to facilitate preventive analysis which improves road safety.
Further, the application incorporates a series of road quality indicators, based on the criteria and variables that governments need in order to measure the state and availability of roads.
The development of the application is supported by GIS DE Esri technology, and includes a validation and import module for databases coming from different companies. In this manner, the system enables strengthening the collaboration between the public and private sectors, toward the same objective of achieving road safety.
Eptisa Ti is an engineering, architecture and information technology company that offers consulting services and solutions to its clients.
