CODE_n will be a showcase for the possibilities of Big Data, not only in terms of technology but also for innovative applications. The organizers have selected the 50 best ideas, among which are three Spanish projects.
More than 450 candidates from 60 countries entered the international contest CODE_n 14, which seeks to provide support for innovative and pioneering digital projects as well as new startups. On this occasion young entrepreneurs from around the world have responded to the theme of ‘Driving the Data Revolution’.
The organizers of this initiative set about to choose the 50 best ideas, among which are three Spanish projects. From Madrid, CartoDB was chosen for its cloud-based geospatial database, which lets users see real time map data and share it over the internet.
For its part, iMath Research will bring iMath Cloud to the contest in Germany, a solution that crunches and analyzes a company’s internal data and compares it to external digital data, in order to find correlations and patterns, carry out simulations and develop predictive models that help to improve strategic decision making from the cloud.
Spain’s Mint-Labs will present its CloudN project, an advanced remote visualization and analytical platform for medical images that provides detailed 3D maps of the brain. This solution includes tools that quantify anomalies which are found in the tissue being studied.
The winner of the CODE_n14 competition will receive €30,000 and be announced on March 12 of this year at CeBIT.
