The Spanish company SAES will install its Sensor Data Link (SDL) anti-submarine warfare (ASW) system in three Swedish corvettes. This system allows small combat ships weighing between 500 and 2,000 tons to actively participate in complex anti-submarine missions, thereby contributing their increased speed and maneuverability.

In addition, thanks to this system platforms with limited detection areas can increase their submarine tracking capacity beyond the reach of their sensors.

This ASW program has been validated and fully accepted during Sea Acceptance Tests (SATs) carried out at the Swedish city of Karlskrona. The Spanish company will now install this system on three Visby-class corvettes, improving their ASW capacities. The system can be used by smaller combat vessels such as corvettes and patrol boats thanks to its reduced size and light weight.

The program also implements different modes of communication and the exchange of tactical information and intelligence with surface platforms as well as other types of platforms.
