SmartWater4Europe is recognized with an award from Global Water Intelligence magazine

SmartWater4Europe is an international project that’s included the participation of Acciona Agua. Recently it was recognized under the category ‘Water Performance Initiative of the Year’ in the Global Water Awards, organized by the magazine Global Water Intelligence.

Once again a project in which Acciona Agua is participating has been recognized by the magazine Global Water Intelligence. This year the prize was given in the category ‘Water Performance Initiative of the Year’. The voters choosing the award winners found this project to be one of the most outstanding in terms of representing the determination to improve the long term performance of water services for the general public.

SmartWater4Europe is an international research project that will be carried out in four smart cities. Twenty one entities will be involved, including twelve small companies, three of the largest firms in the water sector and three universities.

Global Water Intelligence is the leading international publication in the water market. Recipients of the Global Water Awards are determined through a voting process by more than 16,000 professionals and experts from the sector.
The main participants in the consortium, along with Acciona Agua and Vitens, are Thames Water from the United Kingdom and the University of Lille from France.
