The main goal of Cliserie is to serve as a basis for making decisions, contrasting information about the sensitivity of a specific area to the foreseeable affects of climate change with its capacity for adaptation. Cliserie provides information about the level of vulnerability of the area, as well as a roadmap to follow in order to reduce the expected impact.

The firm’s R&D has focused on the use of new technologies to help both private and public entities measure their impact on climate change and, as a result, make the necessary decisions. This project stems from the uneasiness expressed by many public entities and industry groups about the possible impact of climate change–in a not too distant future–on different areas and how to adapt to these affects.

Kepa Solaun, a Director of Factor CO2, hopes that this tool will “open a new chapter in the design of local strategies to face climate change. Cliserie supplies the necessary basis to allow decisions to be made, in order to reduce the impact of this phenomenon on different environments.”
