The company from Andalusia develops an energy saving device that is used with lighting, and is supported by wireless communication technology.
Detea, a construction and engineering company, in collaboration with the firm Adevice, has developed an innovative system designed to regulate energy consumption for lighting in buildings. The invention can reduce energy consumption and the generation of greenhouse gases, thanks to an automatic system that measures the intensity of light as a function of users’ needs and environmental conditions.
This system brings relief for the high cost of lighting in both public and private buildings. It is based on a network of sensors and a wireless control platform that works on a low-usage standard. This permits managing a large number of devices and makes it possible to install the system in larger buildings. The invention can provide the light necessary for visual comfort according to the standard UNE-EN 12464-1, reducing consumption by up to 60% compared to traditional solutions.
Detea was founded in 1989 and specializes in commercial and industrial buildings, as well as unique structures, principally in the provinces of Huelva, Cádiz and Seville. The company has carried out numerous R&D projects related with the future of sustainable urban living, utilizing the latest technologies in construction materials.
