ACS, Acciona, FCC, Ferrovial, Sacyr and OHL have an order backlog outside of Spain worth €72.2 billion as of September. This represents an increase of 5% from the beginning of the year.
The largest Spanish construction companies have an international backlog that is five times bigger than their backlog in Spain. ACS still has the largest non-Spanish order book as of September, worth €48.8 bn., thanks to its German affiliate Hochtief. This is a 6.7% increase from the end of 2012.
The next most active company outside of Spain is OHL, which has international contracts worth €7.1 bn., an increase of 11.6% from the beginning of the year.
Ferrovial has a foreign backlog worth €6.2 bn., representing 72% of its total backlog, while Sacyr has pending international contracts valued at €4.5 bn., fully 81.7% of its total order book.
Acciona’s non-Spanish backlog, at 51.5% of its total order book as of the end of September, amounts to €3.1 bn. FCC meanwhile has a backlog of €2.6 bn., or 46.3% of the group’s total backlog.
