Geobage Resources, through its GeoChild brand, has presented the first European geolocation bracelet for kids using a mobile app.

The device, made with exclusively Spanish technology, lets parents know where their kids are at all times. A child’s whereabouts can be seen on a map using a mobile phone, thanks to GPS technology and Bluetooth.

The Spanish police receive on average 23 calls per day regarding a lost child. While 80% of these calls are resolved without issue, the company Geobage Resources through its GeoChild brand believes that parents will be able to avoid those hours of worry with this device.

The first geolocation bracelet for kids will be most useful when children are in crowded and hectic places like beaches, shopping centers, sports arenas, water parks, amusement parks, recreation areas or even just on city streets. Further, using their phones parents will be able to see where their kids have been most recently. The innovation of this bracelet comes from its ability to be a truly complete service, given that it has a super-miniaturized GPS and there’s no monthly fee. It includes a smart application and lets parents keep an eye on their kids without the need to carry any additional device: all that’s needed is a smartphone. The bracelet is already being sold in Europe.
