The Spanish company Teestart designs garments with a geolocation code that leads the wearer to a specific location in order to win a prize.
The clothing made by the firm Teestart contains a geolocation code which, when entered into an application, leads the buyer to a pre-determined spot in order to win a prize.
Referred to as the teeXperience fashion concept, the Spanish company has come out with a complete line of personalized t-shirts, polo shirts and sweatshirts that, thanks to this code, provide the wearer with a destination that they must find. The company determines the location based on the buyer’s zip code.
After purchasing and receiving the garment, the user registers the geolocation code in the company’s application in order to begin this individualized adventure. That’s when the teeXperience begins. The user has to reach the spot and take pictures or video of him or herself wearing the garment in order to prove that they arrived. The images are then uploaded to the company’s webpage to provide a visual log of the experience.
Teestart then validates that the goal was achieved and sends the user a gift prize. The company’s goal is to create an online community that lets users share their experiences.
