The Spanish multinational has developed a data management platform for the crude oil reserves of Colombia’s state-owned petroleum company Ecopetrol.

With this new platform Indra will technologically update the data on over 3,200 oil wells that Ecopetrol has in production. Indra’s systems can migrate existing data to a new technology platform that guarantees data security and provides improved management capabilities as well as cost savings.

This program allows users to compile data quickly and gives them immediate access to it, thereby providing improvements in petroleum production. It also streamlines decision making in critical situations.

The new platform provides comprehensive data capture for all the necessary information about each well, control reports, corporate and regulatory reports, performance analysis as well as comparative planning and evaluation with regard to neighboring wells.

This program is part of a new product offer from the Spanish multinational which it is now launching in the Colombian energy market, focusing on data management systems. These new capabilities provide clients with solutions for operational management and business processes.
