This Spanish app lets you print close to 2,000 pictures per month from your mobile phone in the style of a Polaroid camera.

People would like prints of many of the pictures that are stored in their mobile phones, but developing them is laborious. In many cases this involves transferring them to a computer and from there to an external drive, in order to then take them to a store. Mimento is a new tool that makes this process much simpler.

It works like this: a user just needs to download the app and, once it’s open, choose the pictures to be developed. You decide on a frame for each one, add text if you like and then include the address you want the picture sent to. In a short period of time the recipient will receive actual copies of the pictures in either Polaroid or classic style.

The Mimento app is available for both iOS and Android operating systems. It can print close to 2,000 pictures per month and send them to an unlimited number of recipients, anywhere in Spain or around the world. Shipping and handling are free (except for premium packaging). Users only pay for developing the pictures, which costs €2.45 per shot although this falls to only €.71 per picture for orders of ten or more.

Pictures can be chosen from a user’s phone or from their Facebook or Instagram accounts, and they can be developed either in Polaroid style or classic style with a white frame. They come with a glossy finish and are 10 by 12 centimeters in size.
