In less than a month, the Spanish company has attracted 750 users to this platform and is now preparing to expand into China, one of the birthplaces of the martial arts.

The company Kibo Studios, located in Marbella (in the southern Spanish province of Málaga), specializes in online design, programming and marketing. Now the company is launching the world’s first social network that focuses on the martial arts. Called Martial Tribes, this network has attracted more than 750 users in less than one month of existence. According to some experts it could become the LinkedIn of the martial arts.

This young company is now preparing to expand the platform into China, one of the birthplaces of the martial arts, by year-end. The goal of Martial Tribes is to put practitioners of the various forms of martial arts around the world in contact free of charge, and facilitate the flow of information between users and clubs.

The goal of the company is to reach 2,500 users by month-end and then one million in 2015. 40% of its users are from outside of Spain (France, Italy, China, Japan, etc.) and among them are well-known figures in the world of martial arts such as Benno Wai, one of the world’s leading experts in Wing Chu, and Liam Harrison, the four-time world champion of Muay Thai.

Another of the innovations offered by this digital platform is that users can share their curriculums with other contacts, as well as their level of experience in each of the martial arts that they practice, when they began practicing and the level they have achieved.
