Twelve Spanish startups head to Silicon Valley

The Spain Tech Center (STC) has selected the country’s best technology companies in order to participate in the STC’s first immersion program to be held in San Francisco.

Spain Tech Center has chosen what it considers to be the twelve best Spanish technology companies that have what it takes to make it in Silicon Valley. These companies will participate in the first Silicon Valley Immersion Program (Programa de Inmersión del STC).

The selected firms will go to San Francisco from November 10th to the 21st, where they will be able to display their business models as well as participate in the first European Elevator Speech competition held in Silicon Valley. During their stay they will go to workshops and visit some of the world’s leading technology companies such as SAP, Google and Square.

The Spanish companies chosen for this trip are the following:

Coinffeine: A virtual platform for buying and selling Bitcoins.

Conductr: A controller for the Ableton Live music synthesizer on iPads. Among its many functions, it lets users edit music with just one finger.

Dynatec: Helps engineers and engineering companies by providing them with the talent they need, when they need it.

Elesapiens: An educational platform that helps children aged 7 to 13 learn through the use of videos, games and experiments.

Enigmedia: Provides a wide range of services to protect data and private information.

Empel: Designs digital projects with the benefit of the company’s extensive experience and internet technology.

Kaleido: Provides logistics services in sectors such as automobiles, industrial projects, wind energy, natural resources, distribution and the food industry.

Medtep: A platform that helps patients to understand medical data by making it clear and comprehensible.

PayThunder: A mobile phone payment platform for suppliers.

Pragsis: Offers Big Data solutions for non-technical people.

Reticare: Eye care protection for all types of LED devices (cellphones, tablets, etc.).

Rubiconmd: A platform that connects primary care providers with patients online in order to offer them remote medical opinions.
