Notegraphy: the Instagram for words

Image

The idea of this Spanish start up is to bring back expressivity to text used over the internet (Tweets, Facebook, blogs, etc.) and to give writing back its personality. Notegraphy is to words what Instagram is to pictures.

What we write on social networks looks very similar to what all of our contacts write. Text is necessarily compressed or expanded so that it’s easier to follow, but this also makes it lose personality.

The idea is therefore to bring back expressivity to text and give it a personal touch. With Notegraphy what you say is just as important as how you say it. This app is similar to Instagram except that it’s aimed at words. For now it’s available in a browser version and for iOS, and the Android version will be out very soon. All users need to do is download the app, open an account and start to write.

There’s no limit to the amount of text you can create, and users can write anything from an invitation to an entire novel.

The app lets users create their own designs. Once text is written, all you need to do is give it form and color by choosing a style, the same way people choose a filter for a picture on Instagram. The app now has 25 different styles and the plan is to increase this up to 50 different options for users to choose from. Once a user is happy with the result, all that’s left to do is share it using Twitter, Facebook, Instagram itself, Tumblr, email or messaging services like WhatsApp.

Instagram has won over users from around the world, and now you can find its notes published in Spanish, English, Italian, Portuguese, German, Romanian and other languages.
