Telecommunications and cryptography firm Enigmedia has opened an office in the United States, where it has found commercial success among large corporations. Its latest project has made waves in the security sector and won 15 prizes.
Ever since the NSA spying scandal became public in the United States, companies have become increasingly concerned about the security of proprietary information, which is also a prime objective of international hackers. Spanish company Enigmedia has several lines of product development and technological solutions for encryption. Currently its top selling product is a kit that provides any company or user with everything they need to have encrypted videoconferences.
The company came to the conclusion that videoconferences represented the greatest area of vulnerability when it comes to protecting privacy. As a result it began to study the problem and came up with the Enigmedia Box system. Installation takes no more than a minute. The company has already received about 300 pre-orders for the product.
The company’s research is based on chaos theory, which led to the development of a mathematical algorithm that can be used for cryptography with very similar results to quantum encryption. In less than three years the firm has received over 15 startup awards.
Enigmedia has opened an office in the United States, where its main niche thus far is with large corporations. This startup also has industrial partners in Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Saudi Arabia. Soon it plans to enter Africa. In foreign markets the firm sells to public administrations, security forces and private hospitals, among others.
